Front Shock Absorber

The BDS Suspension BDS85900 is a front shock engineered to enhance the performance of 1953-1986 Jeep CJ5, CJ7, and Scrambler models. This shock absorber utilizes a twin-tube design, filled with pressurized nitrogen and incorporating a 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving system. This configuration ensures rapid dampening that adapts to varying terrains, whether on or off-road. The shock features a robust 2-inch body construction, a 1-3/8-inch fluon-banded piston, and self-lubricating seals. Its 14mm hardened chrome shaft is designed to resist damage from rock chips and corrosion, ensuring longevity. For installation, polyurethane bushings and metal sleeves are included, facilitating a straightforward swap from existing shocks. This model is offered in various configurations with different stem and eyelet bushings to accommodate custom applications and is compatible with all current BDS lift kits. The BDS85900 is specifically designed to complement a 2.5 to 4-inch lift kit, providing optimal performance within this range. The shock is finished in a durable metallic silver paint and includes NX2 decals. Key specifications include a compressed length of 13.4200 inches, an extended length of 21.7000 inches, and a travel length of 8.2800 inches. It is not adjustable for damping or overall settings.
