The Perrin PSP-SUS-055 Front Strut Brace is engineered to address the inherent flex in Subaru's MacPherson strut design. During performance driving, the strut towers can flex, altering critical suspension geometry like camber, toe, and caster. This flex impacts steering response and body roll, making them more pronounced and unpredictable. The PERRIN strut brace combats this by transferring the load of each strut tower through the strut bar to the opposing tower. This action reduces flex by sharing the load and tying the strut towers together, resulting in improved chassis rigidity. Drivers will experience enhanced steering precision under high load conditions, reduced understeer, and potentially decreased tire wear and metal fatigue in the strut tower area. Construction of the PSP-SUS-055 features heat-treated cast aluminum feet paired with a mandrel-bent, thin-wall 4130 Cro-moly tubing bar. This combination ensures strength while maintaining a lightweight design. The brace is finished with a textured powdercoat and comes with a 5-year warranty from PERRIN Performance, covering defects in material and workmanship for sixty months from the date of purchase.
