The Perrin PSP-SUS-055 Front Strut Brace is engineered to address the inherent flex in Subaru's MacPherson strut design. The vertical suspension load is transmitted directly to the strut towers, which can cause flex during performance driving. This flex can lead to unpredictable steering response and body roll by altering static camber, toe, and caster settings. This strut tower brace effectively combats this flex by transferring the load of each strut tower through the tension and compression of the strut bar to the opposing tower. This sharing of load significantly reduces chassis flex, leading to improved steering precision under high load conditions and a reduction in understeer. Additionally, it can help minimize tire wear and metal fatigue in the strut tower area. Construction of the Perrin PSP-SUS-055 features durable, heat-treated cast aluminum feet combined with lightweight yet strong, mandrel-bent 4130 Cro-moly tubing. The brace is finished with a textured powdercoat for a sleek look and added protection. Perrin Performance backs this product with a 5-year warranty, assuring its material and workmanship quality.
