However, a technical tip notes that some non-Explorer ST models may not have pre-threaded holes for installation. In such cases, a simple 8mm-1.25 thread pitch tap may be needed from a local hardware store. This strut tower brace is specifically designed to fit the 2020-2025 Ford Explorer ST models.
