The 034 Motorsport MQB Front Subframe Locking Collar Kit is engineered to precisely center and secure the front subframe on Volkswagen MkVII Golf/GTI/R and Mk8 GTI/R vehicles. This upgrade addresses common subframe clunks, pops, and creaks that occur during slow turns, driveway entry, braking, and initial acceleration. This robust material prevents deformation, guaranteeing a lifetime of performance unlike kits made from softer alloys. The kit also includes new factory replacement subframe bolts with correct tips and thread engagement points to prevent stripping. The kit aims to provide a permanent and affordable solution to the fundamental issues with the factory subframe design, leading to a more rigid chassis and improved handling performance. NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) transfer to the cabin is rated as None to Low, with the manufacturer noting that NVH is subjective and users may experience variations.
