Front Subframe Shim Kit

The CTS Turbo FRONT Subframe Bushing Insert Kit is precision-machined from T6061 billet aluminum to address common clunks and subframe shifting found in MK5, MK6, 8P Audi A3, and B6 Passat/Passat CC vehicles. This kit correctly repairs the OEM Technical Service Bulletin for clunking by significantly reducing the large factory tolerances at the subframe mounting points, providing a more solid feel. It also comes with both OE replacement stretch bolts and upgraded ARP bolts for a secure installation. The components are: 6 x Upper Inserts, 6 x Lower Inserts, 4 x Short OE Bolts, and 2 x ARP Long Bolts. Installation requires adherence to specific torque specifications: ARP bolts should be torqued to 85Nm and can be re-used. 18mm bolts require 70Nm + 180 degrees and should not be re-used. 16mm bolts require 50Nm + 90 degrees and can be re-used once, while 13mm bolts require 20Nm + 90 degrees and can also be re-used once. This kit is compatible with MK5 GTI, GLI, R32, Jetta, and Rabbit models; MK6 GTI, Golf R, and Golf models with an aluminum subframe (will not fit Jettas with a steel subframe); 8P Audi A3/S3; and B6 Passat/Passat CC. A wheel alignment is required after installation.
