FSR Forged Aluminum Piston Kit

The SRP Professional Pistons SRP Pro 2618 piston kit is engineered for high-demand performance applications in Chevrolet small block engines. Constructed from extremely strong 2618 forged aluminum, these pistons are designed to maximize strength and value for demanding builds. The kit features a 4.040 inch bore diameter, 1.125 inch compression height, and a -5.00 CC piston volume, designed for a flat top piston head type. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design minimizes friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, while a shorter wrist pin saves additional weight. The ring groove placement is proven to maintain a positive seal in high-horsepower, boosted applications, and the stout top land thickness enhances overall strength. A low-friction skirt coating is applied to reduce wear, decrease operating noise, and optimize performance. An accumulator groove is incorporated to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, which minimizes ring fluttering and improves ring seal for consistent power delivery.
