FT86 4-2-1 Equal Length Header

The JDL FT86 4-2-1 Equal Length Header is engineered to significantly enhance the mid-range horsepower and torque of your FR-S, BRZ, or 86. This meticulously crafted header aims to virtually eliminate the FA20 engine's characteristic "torque dip" while also broadening the powerband. For FA24 engines, it provides a substantial power increase across the entire RPM range, addressing their lower inherent displacement advantage. Constructed from premium 304 stainless steel, this header features 1.75" primaries that flow into 2.00" secondaries, culminating in a 2.50" outlet. The 15" convergent merge collectors are designed for high velocity, optimizing exhaust gas flow. Precision TIG welding and back purging ensure maximum strength and durability. The design is port-matched for optimal flow and maintains solid top-end power, offering a modular design compatible with both OEM and aftermarket over-pipes. It includes the necessary gasket and hardware for the header-to-over-pipe connection. Installation is straightforward, but it is recommended to consider replacing OEM manifold gaskets, especially on older vehicles. The product comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser. An optional thermal ceramic coating is available to reduce radiant heat, lower engine bay temperatures, protect surrounding components, and add corrosion protection. Note that this header does not include a provision for an EGT sensor, which may be a requirement in some European regions. Users in such areas will need to arrange for a local EGT bung installation.
