The Bazzaz Z-Fi fuel controller is an advanced system for optimizing motorcycle engine performance. It operates by piggybacking onto the motorcycle's Engine Control Unit (ECU), intercepting and modifying the signals sent to the fuel injectors. These modifications are dictated by precisely stored fuel maps within the Z-Fi unit, allowing for a tailored fuel delivery for various riding conditions and performance goals. The Z-Fi system aims to 'wake up' the engine's potential, providing a crisper and more responsive throttle, and smoothing out throttle transitions. Installation is designed to be straightforward, with plug-in connectors for fuel injectors, the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), and gear position indicators, typically taking around 30 minutes. The system utilizes an oxygen sensor in the head pipe to facilitate custom fuel maps suited to specific track conditions and riding styles.
