Fuel Filter

The Motorcraft FG800A is an in-line fuel filter engineered to maintain the cleanliness and optimal performance of your vehicle's fuel system. This filter is designed with a 15.00 nominal micron rating, ensuring it effectively captures contaminants to protect sensitive fuel injectors and components. Its robust construction includes a paper media for fine filtration, a plated steel end cap for durability, and a metal outer jacket for added structural integrity. The filter's flow direction is from outside to inside, with a recommended changeout differential pressure of 20 PSID to signal when replacement is due. This fuel filter operates within a temperature range of up to 225 F and has a collapse pressure rating of 75 PSID, indicating its ability to withstand system pressures without failing. The dimensional specifications include an outer diameter of 2.96 inches at the top and a length of 5.63 inches. It is designed as a direct replacement, simplifying installation for compatible vehicles. While the FG800A is a direct replacement for many applications, it is important to note that this part has been superseded by Motorcraft FG1060. The FG800A was originally specified for a range of Ford vehicles, including various Mustang models from 1983-1997 with engines such as the 2.3L Turbo (excluding SVO), 5.0L, 3.8L, 4.6L, and 5.0L. It also fits models like the Ford Cougar, Escape, and Maverick, as well as other Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury car and truck applications. However, always verify fitment using the vehicle selector and review any specific application notes provided by the retailer to ensure compatibility with your exact vehicle configuration.
