This is a critical component, as a clogged fuel filter hinders the fuel pump's ability to deliver the appropriate fueling the engine needs, which can be caused by contaminants in the fuel or debris in the fuel system. These issues manifest as poor performance, including stalling, surging, and difficulties with cold starts. This kit also includes the Fuel Injection Pressure Regulator, a vital part of the fuel delivery system that maintains consistent fuel pressure to the injectors. It regulates excess fuel back to the tank based on engine demand, ensuring an optimal air-fuel mixture for efficient combustion. Symptoms of a failing regulator can include poor engine performance, hard starting, rough idle, decreased fuel efficiency, black smoke from the exhaust, fuel leaks, and a Check Engine Light.
