The Spelab Upper Fuel Filter Relocation Kit provides a solution for the inherent flaws in the factory upper fuel filter system found in 2011-2015 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 models. The original plastic filter housing, positioned in the engine valley, is susceptible to cracking from prolonged exposure to high engine temperatures, creating a significant risk of fuel leaks. Furthermore, the stock filter's location makes maintenance a messy and difficult task, often resulting in diesel fuel spills. This kit addresses these issues by eliminating the engine bay filter and relocating the fuel filtration to the more accessible chassis or frame rail. It converts the system to use a heavy-duty metal spin-on filter, which eliminates the possibility of plastic failure due to heat and vibration. This relocation also makes filter changes significantly cleaner and more straightforward, preventing fuel from spilling onto the engine and reducing cleanup.
