The BMW Fuel Pump Assembly, part number 16117373503, is a genuine replacement unit designed for various BMW E60 and E61 models, including the 525i, 525xi, 528i, 528xi, and 530i/xi with M54 2.5L, N52 3.0L, M54 3.0L, or N62 4.8L engines. This assembly is located in the right side of the fuel tank and performs two critical functions: measuring the fuel level and supplying the engine with the required fuel pressure. As a complete fuel pump module assembly, this unit typically includes the electric fuel pump, a fuel filter/strainer, a fuel pressure regulator, and the fuel level sending unit. Its primary role is to deliver pressurized fuel to the engine's injectors for combustion, ensuring consistent fuel pressure across different driving conditions and providing accurate fuel level readings to the dashboard gauge. Symptoms of a failing fuel pump can include hard starting, engine stalling, loss of power, or a no-start condition. This Genuine BMW part is manufactured in the Czech Republic. It operates at 5 bar pressure and features two connectors.
