Description

This mechanical fuel pump is compatible with stock carburetor applications and requires the use of a 107.5mm or 108mm fuel pump pushrod. It is not compatible with fuel injection systems. The pump is designed to fit various air-cooled Volkswagen models including the Beetle ('61-'73), Super Beetle ('71-'73), Karmann Ghia ('61-'73), Bus ('61-'71), and Thing ('73-'74). When installing, note that generator and alternator fuel pumps differ primarily in their mounting base; generator pumps have an actuator that is recessed into the base, while alternator pumps have an actuator that protrudes past the base. It is crucial to correctly identify your system to avoid damage or malfunction. Gaskets may be required for proper installation and can be used for shimming, so it is advisable to purchase extras.
