Fuel Pump Assembly

The Racetronix FPA-003A is a high-performance fuel pump assembly engineered for LT1 Camaro, Firebird, and GTA vehicles. At its core is the Racetronix RXP Turbine-Tech fuel pump, delivering a robust 255 liters per hour (LPH) of fuel flow at 43.5 PSI and 13.5V. This pump is designed to handle both naturally aspirated and forced induction applications, supporting up to 600 flywheel horsepower. Its advanced turbine technology contributes to reduced noise, improved reliability, and enhanced compatibility with Ethanol enhanced fuels like E85, with no adapters required. Included with the assembly is a custom Racetronix plug-and-play Teflon in-tank harness, constructed from 14-gauge Teflon wire for superior resistance to fuel degradation compared to the factory 16-gauge harness. This harness ensures a direct connection to the factory fuel pump module/sender, eliminating the need for cutting or splicing. The FPA-003A also features a high-pressure, non-kinking 'Flex' fuel tube with a Push-Loc fitting, stainless steel hose clamps, and a Racetronix 30-micron high-flow fuel sock. Assembly adhesive and lubricant are also provided to aid in installation. Racetronix emphasizes the importance of using their dedicated "hot wire" harness (FPWH-003) for high-performance pumps like the RXP255. The factory wiring is often insufficient to handle the increased power draw of these pumps, potentially leading to a 15-25% performance reduction and compromised reliability. The FPA-003A is designed to retain the factory fill-bucket's functionality, ensuring the pump remains immersed in fuel to prevent aeration, even during aggressive driving or low fuel levels, which can help avoid engine damage.
