The INA fuel pump cam follower is an OE-quality replacement part specifically designed for Audi and Volkswagen 2.0T FSI engines. This critical component sits on the intake camshaft lobe and drives the piston in the high-pressure fuel pump. As a common wear item on these engines, a worn follower can lead to issues within the fuel pump system and potentially damage the intake camshaft if not replaced. This camshaft follower is made in the United States and meets Original Equipment (OE) standards. It is a direct replacement for part number 06D109309C and is also known by MFG numbers 7110245100 and VT0245. The product description recommends regularly inspecting this follower, especially on modified engines running higher boost levels, with suggested checks every 7,500-10,000 miles for modified cars and every 20,000-30,000 miles for stock vehicles. For added protection, the use of Liqui Moly MoS2 Anti-Friction Engine Treatment is also recommended to reduce friction and wear on sliding surfaces. The follower is compatible with a wide range of Audi and Volkswagen models equipped with the 2.0T FSI engine, including various A3, A4, A4 Quattro, GTI, Jetta, and Passat models from approximately 2005 through 2009, depending on the specific trim and drivetrain configuration.
