The Nissan 17202-53F56 is a genuine Nissan fuel tank assembly, also referred to as a Fuel Tank. Designed as a direct replacement, this part is manufactured to stringent factory specifications by Nissan. This fuel tank assembly is specifically designed to fit the 1989-1994 Nissan 240SX models featuring the 4 Cyl 2.4L engine, including those with KA24D and KA24E engine codes. It replaces several OEM part numbers, including 17202-40F00, 17202-53F00, 17202-53F55, 17202-53F01, and 17202-40F10. Installation of the fuel tank involves several steps, including disconnecting the battery, draining the fuel, removing the luggage compartment protector, and disconnecting various parts and hoses. The fuel tank is then unbolted and removed. Installation of the new tank and reservoir assembly is followed by reconnecting all lines, hoses, and electrical connections, reinstalling the protector, and reconnecting the battery ground cable.
