The SmartTune fuel tuner serves as an adjustable performance module for the Saturn Relay-2, engineered to enhance throttle sensitivity and power delivery throughout the rev range. By modifying signals from the intake air temperature and exhaust oxygen sensors, the unit optimizes fuel injection timing to support a richer air-to-fuel mix when the engine is under load. This remapping process enables more responsive highway merging and stronger acceleration from low RPMs. The module features a 5-foot harness and a waterproof, albeit not submersible, construction. It is equipped with a high-resolution LCD display that allows users to adjust fuel delivery settings via a physical knob. Installation involves an in-line wire-in connection to the vehicle's existing harness. Because the system does not permanently alter the factory ECU fuel map, the tuner can be removed at any time to return the vehicle to stock operation.
