Overview

This component can help resolve idle surge, especially with high-flow injectors, and can also address erratic lean air/fuel ratio spikes. The kit features an anodized aluminum housing with a large 0.69" center bore and two in-line inlet/outlet ports.

These ports are machined with 3/4"-16 UNF threads for 8AN ORB fittings, and the kit includes adapter fittings that seal using Viton O-rings. It is safe for use with all fuel types, including alcohol blends like E85, and includes an 1/8" NPT female port for a fuel pressure gauge or other sensors. The damper requires 40-105psi static base pressure and can be mounted at any angle using the supplied M6 hardware.

The Radium FPD-XR Inline Fuel Pulse Damper Kit addresses fuel pressure instability caused by the opening and closing of fuel injectors. By absorbing these pressure pulses, the internal diaphragm helps stabilize fuel pressure, leading to a smoother running engine. This can manifest as reduced idle surge, particularly when using high-flow injectors, and can mitigate stumbling or erratic lean air/fuel ratio spikes that are difficult to tune out. The FPD-XR features a robust anodized aluminum housing with a substantial 0.69" center bore. It incorporates two in-line inlet/outlet ports, precisely machined with 3/4"-16 UNF threads compatible with 8AN ORB fittings. The unit is compatible with all fuel types, including E85 and other alcohol blends. For optimal performance, the damper should be installed as close to the fuel rail(s) as possible, ensuring it is kept away from excessive heat sources. The kit includes a 1/8" NPT female port, ideal for connecting a fuel pressure gauge or other sensors for monitoring fuel system performance. The FPD-XR requires a static base fuel pressure between 40 and 105 psi. Mounting is flexible, using the provided M6 bolts and nuts, allowing installation at any angle, including upside down.
