FX-180 High-Pressure Fuel Pump

The Spool Performance FX-180 is an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump engineered for the BMW B58 engine. This pump significantly increases fuel flow by approximately 80% compared to the stock unit, thanks to its larger bore size. It is fully compatible with E85 fuel, enabling enthusiasts to run higher ethanol blends and support more aggressive tuning. The stock high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) on B58 motors can become a limitation when attempting to tune for increased output. The FX-180 addresses this by raising the fueling limits of the platform, providing the necessary fuel volume for larger turbocharger applications and higher ethanol concentrations. Flow rates are approximately 1.7 cc per rev for the FX-180, compared to the stock B58 pump's 0.954 cc per rev, based on stock CAM lift.
