The Spool FX-200 is an advanced, Stage 2 high-pressure fuel pump engineered specifically for the BMW N55 engine, serving as an upgrade over the previous FX180 model. Featuring a larger bore size compared to the stock pump, it delivers nearly double the flow rate, enabling significant fueling improvements. This pump is fully compatible with E85 fuel and is designed for a seamless, plug-and-play installation without the need for wire cutting or splicing. The increased flow capacity is crucial for supporting higher ethanol concentrations and providing adequate fuel for larger turbocharger setups, pushing the fueling limits of the N55 platform. It is important to note that the FX-200 requires calibration changes. These modifications must be applied prior to starting the vehicle with the new pump installed to prevent potential damage and avoid voiding the warranty. Spool Performance can provide calibration details to your tuner or assist in connecting you with experienced tuners. Custom tuning is essential to maximize the pump's output for your specific vehicle setup and driving conditions.
