FX Series Forged Piston and Ring Set

The DSS Racing FX Series Piston and Rings Kit (K1-6675-3935) is engineered for enhanced performance in 1983-2006 Jeep 4.0L engines. Constructed from premium, aircraft-quality 4032 alloy, these pistons are built for endurance, wear resistance, and low maintenance, suitable for naturally aspirated, nitrous, or boosted applications up to 1500+ HP. These pistons feature DSS Racing's patented "X Groove" skirt design, which reduces damage from fuel washdown and debris, promoting superior skirt, cylinder, and ring life. The design also includes thinner ring grooves to maximize ring land strength and advanced ring land features for improved modern ring technology effectiveness. This includes low volume top land contact reduction grooves, a second land pressure accumulator groove, a third land oil accumulator, and a skirt top oil accumulator that works with drain backs and the X Groove. The advanced skirt design also improves piston stability for increased ring seal and quieter operation. Further enhancing performance, these pistons incorporate additional CNC milling in non-critical areas for weight reduction, striking a balance between strength, power, and longevity. They include forced wrist pin oiling, drilled bottom land intersecting oil groove drain backs, a pin lock ring removal slot, precision honed piston pin bores, diamond-turned high-strength skirts, and high-precision high-strength piston pins. Deep CNC valve reliefs are incorporated to accommodate more aggressive cam and cylinder head combinations, paving the way for significant power increases. This kit includes DSS Racing FX series pistons and DSS DM piston rings, featuring a Ductile Iron Moly faced top ring, cast second ring, and flex vent oil rings. An optional DSS XP ring upgrade is available for extreme power adder applications.
