The Denso 3457 FXE24HR-11 Iridium Long Life Spark Plug is engineered for superior performance and extended lifespan, often serving as the factory-installed option for luxury vehicles from manufacturers like GM, Toyota, Honda, and Mitsubishi. This spark plug boasts a 0.7mm iridium fine wire center electrode, laser welded for precision, and a platinum fine wire ground electrode. These advanced materials contribute to high ignitability and durability, ensuring optimal combustion. The plug is constructed with a purified alumina powder insulator for exceptional strength and thermal conductivity, while its five-rib design helps prevent flashover. Machine rolled threads are incorporated to prevent seizing or cross-threading during installation and removal, and each plug is 100% pre-fired to guarantee the highest quality. Key specifications include a 12mm thread diameter with a 1.25mm pitch, a 26.5mm reach, and a 9/16" (14mm) hex size. The preset gap is .043" (1.1mm), and it features a solid terminal type and a gasket seat. The longevity is rated between 80,000 to 100,000 miles. Torque specifications are 11-18 lb. ft. for both cast iron and aluminum cylinder heads.
