G-Trac Brace

The Steeda G-Trac Brace is engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for the 2005-2014 Ford Mustang (S197 chassis), significantly enhancing front chassis rigidity. Unlike the stock brace, which mounts to an unsupported flange, this G-Trac brace connects directly to the rear mounts of the front lower control arms. This design minimizes flex under load and ensures a stiffer front chassis. By attaching as close as possible to the control arm bushings, the G-Trac brace creates a more direct load path. This results in more effective stiffening, preventing unwanted changes to suspension geometry during high cornering or chassis loads. The brace itself is constructed from a super strong chrome moly alloy steel tube, offering more than double the strength of typical mild steel components. The package includes the G-Trac bar and all necessary installation hardware. Installation is described as a direct bolt-in process, with basic tools required and an estimated install time of about 1 hour. The difficulty level is rated as 'Tech Recommended'. The brace is also referred to as a k-member brace and improves suspension compliance. When used in conjunction with a control arm relocation kit, two 14mm - 2.0 x 100mm long bolts are required for installation.
