The ESS Tuning G1 Supercharger System is a comprehensive forced induction solution for the BMW E90, E92, and E93 M3. This intercooled supercharger system is engineered to deliver a significant power increase, providing an estimated 150-180 wheel horsepower gain from stock, depending on fuel used and exhaust system configuration. The kit includes both 91AKI/95RON and 93AKI/98RON pulleys for versatility. At the core of the system is the ESS G1 supercharger head unit, noted for its light weight (9.5 lbs) and efficient, quiet operation. The system integrates a custom cast aluminum intake manifold with CNC-machined 6061 aluminum velocity stacks designed to smooth airflow and minimize turbulence before entering the throttle bodies. A market-leading liquid intercooler system is employed to maintain optimal intake charge temperatures, ensuring consistent performance on the track or street. The kit includes ESS E-Flash OBD2 reprogramming with specific MSS60 engine software, refined over years of development. This allows users to upload new software, restore the stock tune, and utilize diagnostic capabilities via any Windows PC. The system maintains all OBD-II functions and is backed by a 2-year, unlimited mileage warranty. Installation is estimated at 6-12 hours with standard hand tools, requiring no irreversible modifications to the vehicle.
