G30/35 MQB Turbo Kit w/ External Wastegate

The DBV2 G30/35 MQB Turbo Kit represents a significant upgrade for the EA888.3 engine found in vehicles such as the VW Golf R and GTI, and Audi A3, S3, and TTS. This kit directly implements Garrett Motion G Series turbos (G30-770, G30-900, G35-900, G35-1050), providing a genuine Garrett setup without modification or redesign. This kit replaces the OEM electronic actuator with a reliable pneumatic external wastegate boost control strategy, enabling the higher boost pressures necessary for increased horsepower. Based on dyno testing, this turbo kit is capable of producing over 700 wheel horsepower at 35-37psi of boost, supported by high-flow components including a 3.5-inch turbo inlet, T3 adapter, 3.5-inch downpipe, and 2.75”/2.5” intercooler piping. The turbo is mounted via a custom CNC-machined adapter made in Canada, with provisions for the wastegate port and O2 sensor. Boost control is managed by a Turbosmart Gen-V WG45 Hypergate, and the OEM diverter valve is replaced with a Turbosmart Race Port Blow Off Valve Gen-V. The system offers options for recirculated or open dump tube wastegate exhaust routing and supports factory ECU boost control via Galano Engineering software. Supporting modifications recommended for optimal performance include a built short block, built and ported cylinder head, high-flow intake manifold, high-flow intercooler, colder spark plugs, a larger intake, 1300cc injectors, a fuel system capable of supporting 700whp, a custom ECU and TCU tune, an aftermarket clutch kit for MT6 transmissions, aftermarket mounts, and an aftermarket cat-back exhaust.
