G35 Cold Air Intake

Introducing the Z1 G35 Cold Air Intake, a high-performance bolt-on upgrade engineered to enhance horsepower and torque for your 2003-2007 G35 Coupe or 2004-2006 G35 Sedan. The design eliminates the factory multi-piece airbox, MAF housing, and corrugated tube, replacing them with a single-piece roto-molded airbox and intake tube. This construction, made from cross-linked polyethylene, is crafted to fit a custom dry-media air filter and allows air to reach the throttle body with reduced turbulence. A multi-layer reinforced silicone coupler seamlessly connects the intake tube to the throttle body. The airbox draws cold air from behind the factory grill, incorporating an additional inlet to lower intake air temperatures for improved efficiency, power, and torque. The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is relocated to the bottom of the inlet tube for a cleaner aesthetic. Included is a custom-designed air filter featuring an integrated velocity stack, which maximizes airflow by providing an unobstructed, rounded taper into the intake piping. This design minimizes intake turbulence, increases air volume, and boosts air velocity for optimal system performance. The large dry media filter was chosen to reduce the risk of contaminating the MAF sensor, a common issue with oil-bath cotton filters, and to resist clogging in dusty conditions. Performance testing on a 2004 G35 Sedan with a manual transmission and prototype Z1 Exhaust showed gains of 11 wheel horsepower (whp) and 13 wheel torque (wtq) after installing the Z1 Cold Air Intake. Additional gains of approximately 5 whp can be achieved when combined with a Z1 Plenum Spacer. Note: While compatible with the factory PCV hose, a 350Z PCV Hose is recommended for optimal fitment and is sold separately.
