The Garrett G42-1200 Compact Turbocharger represents Garrett's most advanced generation of turbochargers, delivering extreme performance with minimal space requirements. This unit is engineered to support engine displacements from 2.0 to 7.0 liters, targeting builds aiming for 475 to 1200 horsepower. Key technological advancements include a latest-generation CFD-optimized, forged milled compressor wheel for enhanced airflow and efficiency. The compressor housing features an integrated, easy-plug speed sensor port for convenient data logging. Its center housing rotates 360 degrees for flexible orientation, and multiple water connection points with supplied -6AN adapters facilitate straightforward plumbing. Internally, the turbo employs dual ceramic ball bearing cartridges for reduced friction and improved spool. Twin piston ring seals on both the compressor and turbine sides significantly mitigate oil leaks from the bearing housing. The turbine housing is constructed from stainless steel, also rated for 950°C, and features a V-band inlet and outlet with a single scroll design and a 1.01 A/R ratio.
