The KDM Tuners clutch kit is engineered to enhance the performance of the G4fJ engine, offering a robust solution for enthusiasts seeking greater power handling. KY Clutch designs these aftermarket performance clutch kits for vehicles such as the Veloster turbo, Forte, Proceed gt, and Elantra Sport, with every stage available from mild to wild, all at a competitive price. Our clutch kits are designed to reliably handle up to 475 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. In demanding applications, such as the world record Veloster turbo, our clutch has demonstrated its capability by holding strong at 505hp. The kit includes a brand new pressure plate and clutch disc. You have a wide array of clutch disc options to choose from, catering to different driving needs: Full face organic for OEM replacement, Full face ceramic for aggressive street use, Full face ceramic/organic for a mix of both, 6-puck ceramic for performance track use, 6-puck ceramic/organic for a performance track feel with OEM comfort, and Sintered Disc in Ceramic for extreme drag racing applications. Each disc version is available in both sprung and unsprung options. Sprung discs, when paired with Aasco Flywheels, help maintain drivability and reduce wear on the transmission's input shaft, especially when replacing factory dual-mass flywheels which contain internal springs that can fatigue. Unsprung discs are intended for use with OEM flywheels, leveraging their internal springs, or with upgraded flywheels for a solid, direct engagement preferred in race applications. However, using unsprung discs with lightweight flywheels can lead to a harsh daily driving experience and potentially cause transmission damage over time due to shock loading.
