The Garrett G50-1700 is a super core turbocharger, part number 880547-5027S, engineered for high-performance applications. It utilizes an 80mm compressor inducer and a 109mm compressor exducer, featuring high-flow, high-efficiency GTX Gen II compressor aerodynamics. This unit is designed to support between 875 and 1700 flywheel horsepower and is compatible with engine displacements from 2.5L to 11.0L. The turbocharger incorporates an advanced G-Series turbine wheel aero for increased performance compared to the GTX47 Gen II. The design includes a one-piece lightweight aluminum center housing and backplate, with a reduced outlet length on the T6 turbine housing compared to the GTX for optimized weight reduction.
