G500X Turbo Kit

The Speed By Design (SBD) G500X Turbo Kit is engineered to significantly increase horsepower on your FRS/BRZ, representing one of the best dollar-to-HP modifications available for your factory engine. This kit is designed to safely add over 125 horsepower while utilizing the factory fuel system. When running on 91/93 octane fuel at 10 PSI, the G500X kit can deliver an estimated 300-325 wheel horsepower, with final output influenced by exhaust modifications. For even greater power potential, the kit is capable of supporting up to 400 whp on E85 ethanol with upgraded fuel system modifications on a stock engine, and up to 500 whp on a built engine with E85 and fuel upgrades. The turbocharger itself features a custom ball-bearing CHRA with a 54mm inducer billet compressor wheel, and is both oil and water-cooled for optimal performance and longevity. It includes an internally wastegated spring set to 0.7 Bar (10 PSI). The compressor wheel measures 54mm (inducer) by 67mm (exd), while the turbine wheel is 54mm (inducer) by 49mm (exd). Key kit features include a required Omni 3-Bar Map Sensor, a high-temperature turbo blanket, and 4-ply silicone black hoses. The kit also comes with Tig-welded stainless steel turbo manifold and exhaust piping, as well as mandrel-bent aluminum intercooler and intake piping in a black wrinkle finish. A TurboSmart Raceport 50mm Blow-Off Valve is available as an optional upgrade in several anodized colors. For manual transmission vehicles, an upgraded clutch is mandatory; the factory automatic transmission is compatible. Crucially, tuning is required for this kit. You must have an Ecutek or Open Flash Tablet to tune your vehicle. If you do not already possess one of these tuning devices, you will need to purchase it along with the turbo kit.
