The Gaerne SG-22 Boots are a top-tier MX/off-road boot designed for amateur and professional riders. Building upon the successful SG-12, the SG-22 incorporates extensive research and development to improve upon every aspect. Key features include a 3D Main Body Toe Box for reduced height and increased flexibility, facilitating quicker and easier shifting. The Aluminum Superlight Buckles have a new finish, and the top buckle is adjustable to three positions, along with two positions for the frontal shin plate, allowing for a wide range of adjustability for calf sizes and knee brace fitment. Ventilation is enhanced with two large vents on the front shin plate and 3D channels for air circulation, humidity evacuation, and heat dissipation. The ankle hinge geometry has been redesigned to mimic natural ankle movement while maintaining safety. The new rear Razorback reduces weight and, combined with the Gaerne Dual Stage Pivot System, protects the ankle from hyperextension, hyperflexion, and lateral movements. The interior features re-engineered memory foam for a custom fit and foot stabilization. Grip Guard rubber on the inner leg area improves protection and friction. The dual-density sole provides grip and durability on footpegs and cushioning off the bike. A Microshock heel uses multiple densities to decrease force transferred to the ankle and heel during cornering. The boots utilize Goodyear Welted construction, allowing for sole replacement. An improved steel toe cap reduces overall toe height. These boots are made in Italy and are CE certified according to EN 13634:2017.
