The Gaerne SG-22 is an evolution of the SG-12, designed for elite-performance off-road motorcycle competition. It features Italian craftsmanship and advanced materials. Key improvements include a 3D Main Body Toe Box for lower height and increased flexibility, facilitating quicker shifting. The Aluminum Superlight Buckles have a new finish, with adjustable top buckle (three positions) and frontal shin plate (two positions) for varied calf sizes and knee brace compatibility. Ventilation is enhanced by two front shin plate vents and 3D channels for air circulation and heat dissipation. Ergonomically, the ankle hinge geometry has been redesigned to mimic natural ankle movement without sacrificing safety. The new rear Razorback reduces weight, and the Dual Stage Pivot System includes two limit switches to prevent hyperextension, hyperflexion, and lateral injuries. Internal features include re-engineered memory foam for ankle stabilization and foot support. The inner leg area has Grip Guard rubber for protection and increased friction. The dual-density sole provides grip and durability on footpegs, with cushioning off the bike. A Microshock heel uses multiple densities to reduce force transfer to the ankle and heel during cornering. Constructed with Goodyear Welted construction, the sole is replaceable. An improved steel toe cap reduces overall toe height.
