Game Changer Charge Air Cooler

The VTT "Game Changer" S58 Charge Air Cooler is engineered to replace the factory unit on S58 G8X and F9X X3/4M platforms, addressing the limitations of the stock cooler which can rapidly heat soak during repeated performance pulls. This upgrade features a larger, more efficient air-to-liquid bar and plate core from US-made "WAGNER Intercoolers," coupled with CFD-designed runners and end tanks that are TIG-welded in California. The construction is 100% billet aluminum, offering superior durability over the failure-prone plastic factory cooler, which has been noted to fail at pressures under 30 psi. Key features include optimized flow channels for increased power and reduced boost restriction, significantly faster Intake Air Temperature (IAT) recovery, and lower overall IATs. It also boasts a reduced pressure drop and integrated epoxy phenolic spacers for easier installation and to prevent heat transfer to the factory MAP sensor, ensuring accurate IAT readings. Further enhancing its versatility, the cooler is fully integrated with the PFS S58 port injection kit. It includes billet PI block-off plates for DI-only operation without the fuel rail attached, and individual nitrous or methanol injection ports at the bottom of each runner for stealthy N20 installations. Two additional 1/8” NPT vacuum/boost ports are provided for monitoring or triggering purposes. The design maintains factory access to the oil filter and is compatible with all factory sensors, fittings, the charge cooler reservoir, wiring harnesses, and the engine cover, offering a 100% drop-in fitment. Available finishes include Raw Aluminum, Thermal Black Heat Dispersion Cerakote, Thermal Grey Heat Dispersion Cerakote, and custom powder coating options.
