GAS 89mm Titanium Intake

The Jackal GAS 89mm Titanium Intake is a hand-crafted performance upgrade designed for Audi B9 EA839 2.9T/3.0T engines. This system aims to improve engine breathing and amplify the desirable turbo spool and blow-off sounds. It is compatible with both stock 2.75" turbo inlets and aftermarket 3.5" turbo inlets. Constructed from CP1 titanium, this intake offers significant advantages over aluminum. Titanium's low heat transfer rate (16 W/m-K compared to aluminum's 152 W/m K) helps maintain lower intake temperatures, which is crucial for power production in turbocharged engines. Its high strength-to-weight ratio allows for thinner tubing, resulting in larger internal diameters and a 5% increase in intake area for a 3.5" titanium tube compared to its aluminum counterpart. This enhanced rigidity also minimizes sound dampening, letting the supercharger whine be heard. The intake tube is pie-cut from 100% CP1 grade titanium, hand TIG welded, and back-purged for longevity. The kit includes a 4-ply reinforced silicone inlet pipe coupler, all necessary hardware, a high-flow 3.5" cone filter, and a heat shield/air guide. The product is made to order in Canada and may take 4-5 weeks to ship depending on the backlog. It is available in multiple finishes, including OG Titanium and 24K Gold variants, though specific options may be sold out.
