The 034Motorsport Gas Hood Strut is designed to eliminate the factory hood prop rod on your Mk8 Volkswagen Golf GTI or Golf R. This gas hood strut provides the correct length and pressure for your vehicle's hood, allowing it to open and close smoothly with perfect resistance. Constructed with a CNC machined stainless steel ball-end adapter, this strut screws directly onto the existing hood latch bracket stud. The installation process is straightforward and fully reversible, with a mild effort required. This gas hood strut is specifically designed for the Mk8 Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R models equipped with the 2.0T Evo4 engine. It is compatible with model years 2022-2024. The kit includes all necessary components for a simple installation.
