The Gates 33963 Engine Coolant Thermostat is an OE direct replacement designed for reliable engine temperature regulation. Constructed from durable steel, brass, and copper, this heavy-duty thermostat features a bottom by-pass design with a jiggle pin weep hole to ensure effective coolant flow and prevent air pockets. It opens at 187°F (86°C) to maintain optimal engine operating temperature and includes an O-ring seal for a secure, leak-free fit without the need for additional gaskets.
