The Gates 38636 DriveAlign Premium OE Automatic Belt Tensioner (Fan) is designed to provide optimal belt alignment and tension in serpentine drive systems. It features components optimized for strength and durability, including a patented design for superior belt alignment and tension, a labyrinth-shaped seal to prevent contamination of internal parts, and long-lasting steel pulleys with dust shields. The tensioner also incorporates double-row bearings for increased load capacity and lifespan, and a round chrome-silicone torsion spring for less fatigue compared to coil spring designs.
