Gates Premium Modular Coolant Hose, part number 23741, is designed to fit specific applications and is similar to OEM specifications, including essential integrated OE components like hose branches, quick-connectors, sensors, and restrictors. It features EPDM tube, synthetic fiber knit reinforcement, and an EPDM cover resistant to heat, ozone, and chemical coolants. The materials are engineered to resist collapse under vacuum and electrochemical degradation, which is a common cause of hose failure. It meets SAE 20R3 EC Class D1 under 25mm (1 in.) ID and SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 for 25mm (1 in.) ID and over. Gates recommends replacing clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed. Not for fuel or oil transfer applications.
