It is the first CVT belt to utilize a carbon tensile cord, combining minimal stretch with extraordinary strength. The carbon tensile cords are bonded to aramid fiber-loaded rubber with a specially formulated adhesion gum, which increases side-load resistance and prevents belt distortion and edge cord pullout.
