The Gates 38587 FleetRunner Heavy-Duty Automatic Belt Drive Tensioner is engineered for maximum strength and durability in demanding heavy-duty applications. Its patented EPDM construction ensures superior belt alignment and tension, improving transmission efficiency and lifespan. A labyrinth seal prevents contamination, while long-life steel pulleys with dust covers protect internal bearings. Double-row bearings support more load and last up to three times longer than single bearings. It incorporates a round chrome-silicone torsion spring for less fatigue and a patented damping mechanism for maximum stability, reducing vibration and increasing the life of the belt, tensioner, and other accessory drive components.
