The Gates EFG3K-MTF MegaTuff Hydraulic Hose (part number 85431, product number 46511741) is designed for very high-pressure, high-impulse hydraulic applications. It is compatible with both biodegradable hydraulic fluids (like polyolester, polyglycol, and vegetable oil) and standard petroleum-based fluids. The hose exceeds performance requirements for ISO 18752 Grade D, SAE 100R12, EN 856 R12, performance requirements of EN 856 4SP, and ISO 3862 Type R12. It features an optional MegaTuff™ cover that offers up to 300 times longer life than standard hoses in abrasion tests (per ISO 6945) and provides superior ozone and weathering resistance. This hose also boasts superior flex impulse performance, tested to 1,000,000 impulse cycles at 50% of EN 856 R12 and SAE 100R12 bend radii, and meets Flame Resistance Acceptance Designation MSHA 2G.
