The Gates Super HC Narrow Section Molded Notch V-Belt is designed for high-horsepower applications in limited drive weight or space. Its proprietary construction offers superior flexibility and load-carrying capacity, allowing it to transmit up to three times more horsepower than comparably sized belts. This design also facilitates more compact and economical drive systems. Key features include molded notches for stress reduction and noise reduction, flex-bonded cords for even load distribution and resistance to fatigue, and a patented Ethylene Elastomeric compound for protection against heat, ozone, and sunlight. The belt meets ARPM/RMA IP-3-2 oil and heat resistance standards and IP-3-3 static conductivity requirements. Its precision-ground straight sidewalls ensure proper fit in pulley grooves, promoting even wear and extended belt life. The proprietary Flex-Weave cover further protects the belt core from oil, contaminants, and heat, contributing to a longer lifespan and smoother, quieter operation. It is suitable for temperatures ranging from -70°F to +250°F (-57°C to +121°C).
