The Gates CX136 is a cogged V-belt designed for heavy-duty drives with classical cross-sections. It features a raw edge construction and a special notch design, making it suitable for applications involving small diameter pulleys and back idlers. This belt is constructed from a patented ethylene EPDM compound that resists cracking and can withstand extreme temperatures.

The belt's edge is machined for even sheave groove contact, which contributes to smoother running, reduced slippage, and increased durability. Its cross-oriented, fiber-loaded rubber compound provides flexibility and stability. The operating temperature range for this belt is -50°C to 120°C (-58°F to 248°F).
