Description

The Shelby American dash pod is an aftermarket accessory for 1965-1966 Ford Mustangs, designed to cleanly mount a tachometer and an auxiliary gauge. This pod is intended to fit on the dash pad, located above the radio. It is pre-cut with openings for a 3 1/2 inch tachometer and a 2 3/8 inch accessory gauge, commonly used for instruments like oil pressure or vacuum. Installation of this dash pod requires some modification. The product "must be trimmed to fit the '66 dash contours." One customer reported needing to "modify dash pad too" and expressed hesitation before cutting into the dash pad. This product is compatible with 1964 1/2, 1965, and 1966 Ford Mustang models.
