The Vargas GC Turbocharger Upgrade is engineered to enhance the performance of your 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T. This unit is a 100% new casting, designed to replace restrictive factory housings and improve upon the stock turbo's inlet area, bearing housing oiling, and thrust bearing. Key construction elements include a robust 310 stainless steel turbine housing, known for its superior heat and corrosion resistance. The turbine wheel is a 9-blade Superalloy Mar-M 246, incorporating advanced aero technology to boost flow and maximize spool-up. Complementing this, the 9-blade "point-milled" compressor wheels also utilize the latest aero designs to maximize flow and virtually eliminate surge. Designed as a drop-in replacement, the GC Turbocharger maintains near factory spool characteristics and utilizes all factory connections, including those for oil, water, downpipe, and the charge pipe. It supports power levels up to 400WHP. Vargas also offers an optional installation kit that includes all necessary gaskets. It is important to note that for optimal performance, this turbocharger upgrade should be paired with supporting modifications such as fuel system upgrades, intake, downpipe, intercooler, and a proper tune. While some gains will be noticeable with just the turbo upgrade, the full potential requires these additional components and tuning.
