The Leitner Designs GearPOD GEN 2 is a side-mounted gear box designed for adventure gear. It features a spring-activated lid lifter, an improved water-resistant seal, and re-engineered brackets for strength. The GearPOD installs easily on Leitner Designs ACS racks using TrakLOK nuts and grade 10.9 bolts.

Constructed from roto-molded high-density polyethylene, it offers 10.5 gallons of storage. The box includes a key locking mechanism with two keys and dual-stage powdercoated steel brackets. It is designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA.

The Leitner Designs GearPOD GEN 2 represents an evolution in truck bed storage, building upon extensive R&D and customer feedback. This second-generation GearPOD boasts significant enhancements, including a spring-activated "Leitner Lid Lifter" for effortless opening and closing, an upgraded water-resistant seal, and robust, re-engineered brackets for maximum durability. Its construction utilizes roto-molded high-density polyethylene, similar to that used in kayaks, ensuring a durable and weather-resistant housing. The interior provides 10.5 gallons (1.4 cubic feet) of storage, protected by an automotive-grade silicone seal to safeguard your equipment from the elements. Installation is straightforward, utilizing a simple T-slot mounting system with included grade 10.9 Black Zinc-Nickel plated fasteners. The GearPOD features a key locking mechanism, coming complete with two keys for security. The product is proudly designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA and holds U.S. Patent US 10,259,508. Mounting this GearPOD on any rack other than the Leitner ACS will void the manufacturer's warranty against breakage or malfunction. While every effort has been made to make the GearPOD as watertight as possible, due to manufacturing tolerances and varying driving conditions, it is not recommended for storing items that can be damaged by water without an additional airtight container.
