The M7 Speed Gen 1 Power Up Kit is a comprehensive supercharger overdrive pulley system engineered for enhanced performance in MINI Cooper S, JCW, R52, and R53 models. This kit includes a M7 Speed 16% overdrive supercharger pulley and a M7 Speed 4% lightweight overdrive crank pulley, specifically designed to work together for maximum power gains. A proper length Micro-V drive belt is also included to ensure optimal system function. The supercharger pulley features M7's proprietary taper-loc shaft locking system, providing the highest locking force and lightest weight for slip-free performance. Additionally, an active cooling system is integrated into the pulley design, drawing in cool air through holes in the pulley shoulder to reduce belt temperature. The lightweight 4% crank pulley is a result of extensive computer modeling and CNC machining, featuring a hard anodized coating for protection against the elements. Its V-belt grooves are precisely machined to SAE-J1459 specifications to minimize belt slippage under maximum boost conditions. By reducing rotational mass, this pulley assists in increasing horsepower, torque, and overall throttle response. For optimal performance, M7 Speed recommends using this kit in combination with their 16% Supercharger Technology Pulley. The kit also offers optional upgrades, including NGK spark plugs (available in standard, +1 colder, or +2 colder heat ranges depending on driving style and modifications) and a Dayco Belt Tensioner for peak performance.
