Gen 4X Coyote 5.0L V-8 Crate Engine

The Ford Performance Gen 4X Coyote crate engine is a modern 5.0L 32-valve DOHC V-8 designed for enhanced performance. This all-aluminum engine utilizes advanced features such as direct and port fuel injection, twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT), and a 12:1 compression ratio to deliver an impressive 460 horsepower and 420 ft.-lb. of torque when using premium fuel. The Gen 4X Coyote is equipped with a single 80mm drive-by-wire throttle body for simplified packaging in various applications. It also includes hypereutectic aluminum pistons, sintered steel connection rods (as used on the Boss 302 Mustang), a forged steel crankshaft, and a 9.5-quart steel oil pan. Included with this crate engine is a composite lightweight intake manifold and the Mustang GT 409 stainless steel exhaust manifold for the right side only. The engine features mount bosses and a bell housing pattern common to 5.0L modular engines. Please note that the driver side exhaust flange utilizes the 5.2L GT500 pattern, which means Gen 1, 2, or 3 headers will not fit without modifications to the flange.
