Gen 5 3.0L Inverted Twin-Screw Supercharger System

The Whipple WHP-WHR-1700-30 is a high-performance Gen 5 3.0L inverted twin-screw supercharger, specifically engineered for LT1/LT4 crate engines. Building on over 30 years of experience, Whipple has developed this system to provide substantial power for hot rods, sand rails, and other custom builds requiring significant torque. Key features include a precision-ground helical-cut gear system, an integrated Crusher™ venturi-shaped inlet with a 112mm round opening for maximum airflow, and a massive air-to-water aluminum bar-plate intercooler. This intercooler design provides superior cooling compared to other positive displacement systems, ensuring consistent power output. The exclusive 3x4 rotor combo offers increased airflow throughout the powerband. The front-feed configuration with a driver-side entry allows for straightforward air ducting. The system includes the supercharger, built-in intercooler, and intake manifold, but requires additional components such as a Wegner Accessory Drive System, piping, and a fuel system, which are available as options. The Whipple supercharger is known for delivering more power per pound of boost than competing systems. It is compatible with various throttle bodies, including 80mm, 90mm, aftermarket 102mm, and Whipple's own 109mm units. The bypass system is designed for excellent fuel economy during cruising, consuming less than 1hp.
